BioFuse™ Oil Matrix is our advanced nano-emulsion of plant oils, which helps disrupt harmful oral bacteria while leaving the good stuff untouched. Formulated alongside clinical researchers, it contains activated lipid molecules designed to target cavity and periodontal disease-causing bacteria. It might feel strange, but these are good things! Zero Pro is made without chemical foaming agents, like SLS, which are commonly found in toothpastes (and soaps & shampoos). You might associate foam with cleaning power, but it doesn't actually provide the boost you think it does. As well, the combination of BioFuse™ Oil Matrix and Xylitol promote a big increase in saliva flow. This has dual benefits of spreading the active ingredients (like a mouthwash), and helping balance the pH of your mouth†. It may take some getting used to, but trust us, the results are worth it.

Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) is a biocompatible mineral that's identical to what your teeth are naturally made of. Originally developed to help astronauts with bone density loss, it works to directly remineralize tooth enamel, whereas fluoride hardens your enamel by helping it absorb more minerals. At a concentration of 10% (which Zero Pro has), nHAp has been shown to be just as effective as fluoride in preventing cavities while reducing sensitivity.

Research indicates that a 10% concentration, nano-sized hydroxyapatite effectively penetrates enamel tubules and promotes remineralization. Lower concentrations may not provide sufficient coverage of tooth surfaces, while higher concentrations don't show additional benefits. Many brands claim to have nano-hydroxyapatite in their toothpaste without ever disclosing the concentration, which is often 3X lower than the recommended dose.

The nano-sized particles in Zero Pro are significantly smaller than non-nano hydroxyapatite particles. This smaller size allows them to penetrate deeper into microscopic enamel structures and dentinal tubules, providing better coverage and more effective remineralization.

We understand this concern, and the short answer is no. The advanced answer is that BioFuse™ uses nano-emulsion technology and works by mechanically disturbing the cell wall/phospholipid bilayer of the bacteria. Because it targets in this physical way, instead of disrupting cellular processes or mechanisms like regular antibiotics, the risk of resistance is very low.

There are no issues with switching between regular Zero and Zero Pro. Both contain 10% nHAp and xylitol, and are free from SLS and fluoride. The key difference between them is the targeted bactericidal action of BioFuse™ Oil Matrix in Zero Pro, which our original Zero formula does not have.

Yes! Zero Pro is completely safe if accidentally swallowed, making it ideal for all ages and anyone who prefers a fluoride-free option. However, we recommend supervising children under the age of 12 during brushing. If excessive amounts are ingested, consult a medical professional.

Most users will experience a noticeable reduction in sensitivity within 1-2 weeks of regular use. For best results, use Zero Pro twice daily and avoid rinsing immediately after brushing.

Everyone's smile is unique, and whitening results can vary based on your starting point. While this is a 'whitening toothpaste' in the traditional sense, nano-hydroxyapatite does provide a moderate whitening effect by filling and smoothing surface imperfections on enamel. This creates a more vibrant and reflective tooth surface. You may experience optical whitening up to 2 shades within 1-2 weeks of brushing.
